Someone has made a film about Junior Eurovision - long since forgotten in the UK, but alive and kicking out East - and called it Sounds Like Teen Spirit. Goodness - it all looks rather jaunty. I've been invited to a preview screening next week so I shall report back.

SOUNDS LIKE TEEN SPIRIT (12A) + Q&A - It's EurovisIon but not as you know itWe are delighted to welcome the film’s director, Jamie Johnson, and the producers Elizabeth Karlsen and Stephen Woolley to the Greenwich Picturehouse for a Q&A following a screening of SOUNDS LIKE TEEN SPIRIT.
Such was the incredible success of the Eurovision Song Contest that it was inevitable that in 2003 there would be the first ever Junior Eurovision Song Contest.
Merging The X Factor, American Idol, BEST IN SHOW, BORAT and LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE, this engaging and affectionate popumentary charts the tears, laughter and riveting high drama from last year's hotly contested final in Rotterdam.
Director Johnson and veteran producer Stephen Wolley follow the young hopefuls, their parents, trainers and musicians through the qualifying rounds and then on to the main competition of this singing and dancing extravaganza.
